The CBCI Certification Course is the BCI’s #1 course that provides you with a solid base for a career in Business Continuity and resilience. You will discover the whole BCM Lifecycle and be introduced through all stages of implementing a Business Continuity Plan.
Course objectives

What you will learn
The BCI Certification course covers the six Professional Practices, taking you through each stage of the BCM Lifecycle. Based on the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) 2018 which is aligned to ISO 22301, it is the most comprehensive, complete review of Business Continuity concepts and industry good practice from around the world. This 4-day course also serves as the foundation for the Certificate of the BCI examination.
Stage 1 - Policy and Programme Management: Establish a Business Continuity policy and define how the policy should be implemented through an ongoing cycle of activities.
Stage 2 - Embedding: Understand how to best integrate Business Continuity awareness and practices into your day-to-day business operations and your organization’s culture, using a collaborative approach among business departments, staff and disciplines.
Stage 3 - Analysis: Review and assess organizations in order to identify objectives, how it functions, and constraints of its operating environment.
Stage 4 - Design : Identify and select appropriate solutions to achieve continuity in the event of an incident.
Stage 5 - Implementation: Learn how to implement the plans you created in the design stage and develop a response structure including priorities, procedures, responsibilities, and resources for dealing with incidents.
Stage 6 - Validation: Check that the plans you have produced are accurate and fit for purpose for your organization and that the plans are current and tested.
BCI Certificate Examination (optional - $475)
Interested in becoming an official member of the BCI? Complete this course with the official BCI Certificate Examination that will award you the "CBCI" post-nominal. The examination lasts 2 hours (120 multiple-choice questions) and takes place after the course from the comfort of your home or your office.
Once you are CBCI certified, you officially become a part of the BCI global community. You can access numerous networking opportunities to connect with fellow professionals to exchange knowledge, ideas and professional experience as well as to help each other grow even more.

How will the course be assessed?
The session is held virtually.
The English course takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern time in the United States and Canada), Monday through Thursday.
The French course takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Eastern time in the United States and Canada), Monday to Thursday.
You will learn through practical methods, proven techniques and complete approaches used by Business Continuity professionals worldwide to develop, implement and maintain an effective Business Continuity Management program and improve organizational resilience.
To receive your CBCI Certification, post-nominal, and access to BCI membership - you need to mention you want to take the CBCI Exam. The exam can be taken online at a convenient time. You simply need a stable internet connection and a webcam so the exam can be proctored.
Requirements
For the CBCI Certification course, no specific prior knowledge is required, although :
- familiarity with Business Continuity general concepts is helpful.
