What you will learn in the CBCI 7.0 Certification Course
The BCI Certification course covers the six Professional Practices, taking you through each stage of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
Based on the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) which is aligned to ISO 22301, it is the most comprehensive, complete review of Business Continuity concepts and industry good practice from around the world. This 4-day course also serves as the foundation for the Certificate of the BCI examination.
You will learn through practical methods, proven techniques and complete approaches used by Business Continuity professionals worldwide to develop, implement and maintain an effective Business Continuity Management System and improve organizational resilience.
BCI's six Professional Practices (PP):
Phase 1 - Establishing a Business Continuity Management System: Learn how to forge a robust business continuity policy and its implementation process.
Phase 2 - Embracing Business Continuity: See business continuity principles in everyday tasks, fostering a culture of resilience.
Phase 3 - Analysis: Understand how to assess organizations, identifying their objectives, their interruption tolerances, their operational modalities and challenges.
Phase 4 - Solutions Design : Identify the best strategies to ensure business continuity in the event of a crisis or incident.
Phase 5 - Enabling Solutions: Familiarize yourself with the nuances of implementing the strategies developed earlier, by drawing up a detailed response plan.
Phase 6 - Validation: Learn to validate your plans, their relevance, accuracy and effectiveness through rigorous exercises.

BCI Certificate Examination (optional - $475)
Interested in becoming an official member of the BCI? Complete this course with the official BCI Certificate Examination that will award you the "CBCI" post-nominal. The examination lasts 90 minutes (90 multiple-choice questions) and takes place after the course from the comfort of your home or your office.
Once you are CBCI certified, you officially become a part of the BCI global community. You can access numerous networking opportunities to connect with fellow professionals to exchange knowledge, ideas and professional experience as well as to help each other grow even more.

How will the course be assessed?
The session is held virtually.
Each training day includes approximately 7 to 7.5 hours of instruction.
Exact start times may vary depending on the instructor or the participants.
To give you an idea, here are examples of past schedules (Eastern Time – US & Canada) :
- English sessions: typically from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday
- French sessions: typically from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday
About the CBCI Exam
To receive your CBCI Certification, post-nominal, and access to BCI membership - you need to mention you want to take the CBCI Exam. The exam can be taken online at a convenient time. You simply need a stable internet connection and a webcam so the exam can be proctored.

Requirements
