By completing the BCI Advanced Business Continuity Management Certification Course, you will:

What you will learn
The ABCM Certification Course is an intensive 5-day training combines strategic thinking with practical application.
Through this training, you will gain a deeper understanding of advanced business continuity management and develop the confidence to apply your knowledge in real organizational contexts.
You will work through four structured learning units that guide you through building continuity strategies, identifying organizational needs, implementing solutions, and validating business continuity arrangements.

This course integrates Leadership and Management competencies from the BCI Competency Framework with Professional Practices competencies required to implement business continuity effectively across an organization.
Course structure – 4 learning units
During this training, you will progress through 4 structured learning units covering the full business continuity lifecycle:
Unit 1 – Developing and enabling a business continuity environment
Understand how to create and sustain an environment that supports effective continuity.
Unit 2 – Assessing and analysing organizational requirements
Identify gaps, priorities, and constraints within your organization.
Unit 3 – Developing and enabling solutions
Design and implement business continuity strategies aligned with organizational needs.
Unit 4 – Validating and assessing continuity arrangements
Test, evaluate, and continuously improve your continuity plans.
Examination
At the end of the ABCMC Course, participants will be invited to complete an examination to obtain their credentials.

Prerequisites
- CBCI certification is required to attend this course

Recommended timing
- This course is ideally completed 1 to 2 years after obtaining the CBCI certification, as part of a natural skills and knowledge progression
- Participants who complete the ABCM course within the 12 months prior to submitting their AMBCI or MBCI application may count this course toward their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements, subject to BCI rules in force at the time of application.
