This international distinction recognizes an emerging professional who, despite having less than two years of experience in the field, already stands out through her sound judgement, leadership, creativity and tangible contribution to organizational resilience.

Amélie Dufresne is a Business Continuity Management Consultant at Premier Continuum. She joined the company in May 2025 and received the 2026 BCI Americas Continuity and Resilience Newcomer of the Year Award on September 28, 2026, in Dallas.

A Remarkable Professional Growth in Continuity and Resilience

Amélie joined Premier Continuum in May 2025 as an intern while completing her graduate diploma, before being promoted to Consultant only a few months later. From the outset, she distinguished herself through her rigour, ability to learn quickly and commitment to the profession.

As part of our threat monitoring and analysis project, she quickly identified opportunities for improvement. By gathering feedback, documenting concrete examples and engaging her colleagues, she helped improve the accuracy and operational relevance of the analytical framework.

She then played a leading role in the project’s second phase, coordinating contributions from more than 50 clients, students, consultants and members of our internal teams. Her organizational skills, ability to engage stakeholders and willingness to take full ownership of results demonstrate leadership that is already firmly established.

Amélie also quickly distinguished herself within our client community. She prepared and delivered sessions in both French and English, and later facilitated workshops on topics such as artificial intelligence and incident management, helping participants better understand continuity concepts and identify concrete opportunities for improvement.

In her consulting assignments, she goes beyond simply updating existing documentation. She analyzes organizational structures, practices and culture to propose solutions that are better aligned with each client’s reality, particularly by clarifying roles, integrating more relevant risks and bringing emergency management and business continuity practices closer together.

In less than a year, Amélie progressed from intern to Consultant while contributing to innovation projects, complex assignments and the strengthening of resilience capabilities across several organizations. Her rigour, curiosity and ability to transform observations into concrete improvements make her an outstanding representative of the next generation of professionals.
